Overview
"Tinker Fling uses Tinker to fetch Phyrexian Devourer into play, then exploits a precise stack window: when Devourer's "power 7 or greater" sacrifice trigger goes on the stack, the deck holds priority and repeatedly activates Devourer's exile ability to pile on +1/+1 counters before that trigger resolves. The swollen Devourer is then sacrificed in response to Fling for one-shot direct damage, or to Altar of Dementia to mill the opponent out. Defense Grid and Tangle Wire shield the combo turn by taxing off-turn spells and locking down resources."
Game Plan
Get Phyrexian Devourer onto the battlefield (hard-cast it or grab it with Tinker). Exile a card to its free ability to push its power to 7 or greater, which puts Devourer's own "sacrifice it" trigger on the stack. Instead of letting that resolve, hold priority and keep activating the exile ability, it has no sorcery restriction, so you can stack +1/+1 counters as many times as you like in that one window until its power is lethal. With the sacrifice trigger still waiting on the stack, sacrifice the now-enormous Devourer yourself in response: to Fling for damage equal to its power straight to the opponent's face, or to Altar of Dementia to mill them out. Because you sacrifice it to your own effect first, the huge power is what counts and Devourer's built-in sacrifice trigger simply fizzles with no creature to find.
