Zombie Infestation
Graveyard Combo Control
Overview
"Zombie Infestation turns a flooded hand into a stream of 2/2 Zombie tokens, fueled by Squee, Goblin Nabob, which returns from the graveyard every upkeep so the discard outlet never runs dry. Krovikan Horror loops back to hand and pings for one each time a creature is discarded, adding reusable fodder, while Wonder in the graveyard grants every token flying for a decisive air assault. A blue-black control shell of Counterspell, Foil, and Forbid, its buyback paid with surplus Squee, Goblin Nabob, plus Intuition, Accumulated Knowledge, Gush, and Deep Analysis sculpts the hand and stalls until the swarm flies over for lethal."
Game Plan
Zombie Infestation is a graveyard combo-control deck that wins by converting a hand full of disposable cards into an inexorable stream of 2/2 Zombie tokens and then protecting that engine long enough to grow an airborne board. The central engine requires Zombie Infestation in play and Squee, Goblin Nabob in the graveyard: each turn you return Squee to hand and discard him alongside one other card to produce a token, meaning the real resource cost is one card per token rather than two, a rate the deck's draw package sustains comfortably. Early turns are spent with Portent and Duress to shape the library and strip the opponent's interaction before the enchantment resolves on turn two or three. Once the engine is live, Smother, Counterspell, and Foil hold the line while the token count climbs.
The deck's two critical upgrades transform a fair ground swarm into a closing threat. Getting Wonder into the graveyard, via Foil, Zombie Infestation, or an Intuition pile, grants every token flying, collapsing the game from a slow grind to a two-attack lethal clock. Intuition is the deck's most flexible tool in the mid-game: a pile of three Accumulated Knowledge copies buries two and hands the third for an immediate multi-card draw, while a pile around Krovikan Horror and Squee, Goblin Nabob cements the graveyard recursion loop and ensures the discard outlet never stalls even if Squee is answered. The long-game plan layers Forbid, its buyback fueled by Squee's free upkeep recursion, over the draw engines of Accumulated Knowledge and Deep Analysis to out-resource any opponent willing to trade cards, and Chain Of Vapor handles permanents that black removal cannot touch.
