Resolved enchantments and planeswalker — style engines are hard to answer outside of Nevinyrral's Disk.
Heavy reliance on Powder Keg and Nevinyrral's Disk means a fast wide board can outpace its reset buttons.

How to win with it

Mulligan any hand that cannot produce red mana on turn one or lacks early interaction: a keepable hand wants two or three lands plus at least one cheap answer such as Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, or Firebolt, and a credible path to four mana for Pillage or Nevinyrral's Disk by turn four. Hands that are all burn and no land, or all land and no spells, ship back.
The dream draw spends Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, and Firebolt to kill the opponent's early creatures one-for-one, then lands Shard Phoenix as a 4/1 flyer on turn four to start a real clock; remember its sacrifice ability deals 2 damage to each creature, so you can also cash it in as a mini-sweeper and return it from the graveyard to play at your next upkeep by paying {R}{R}{R}.
Sequence Pillage proactively when it costs the opponent a turn: blowing up a key land on turn three while they are mana-light forces a stumble that your one-for-one removal then snowballs into. Do not sit on Pillage as pure reach when destroying a land now denies a whole turn of development.
Hold Nevinyrral's Disk until the opponent is genuinely ahead on board, not merely even; it enters play tapped, so plan a full turn ahead and fire it the following turn when its sweep nets you the most cards. Pair the reset with a follow-up like a recast Hammer of Bogardan or a freshly returned Shard Phoenix so you rebuild faster than they do.
Use Powder Keg for surgical kills on artifacts and creatures at a specific converted mana cost, and save Slice and Dice for when several creatures must die at once; note that even cycling Slice and Dice still deals 1 damage to each creature, so it is never a wasted blank, but spending the full four-damage sweep on a near-empty board throws away your best wrath.
The grind plan leans on recursion: once you have heavy mana, return Hammer of Bogardan from the graveyard to your hand at upkeep for {R}{R}{R} after three cards sit above it, then recast it for three damage every turn, and hold Urza's Rage as an uncounterable finisher whose kicker pushes 10 unpreventable damage through any blocker or life buffer when you are ready to close.

How to beat it

Gain life with cards like Zuran Orb or lifelink creatures to outrun the burn clock.
Deploy threats that dodge the sweepers, such as high-toughness creatures or resilient recurring bodies.
Apply enchantment-based pressure or planeswalker-like engines that Nevinyrral's Disk is slow to remove.
Pressure their life total quickly before Pillage and Wasteland strip your mana and the disk resets the board.
Sandbag threats so a single Slice and Dice, Starstorm, or Pyroclasm cannot two-for-one you.
