Deck Weaknesses

Empty — hand dependency - The Rack only deals damage while the opponent holds fewer than three cards, so any deck that naturally draws extra cards or refills on its own turn neutralizes the win condition without dedicating sideboard slots.
Fragile two — part lock - the deck needs Cabal Therapy, Duress, or Ravenous Rats to empty the hand AND The Rack to punish it; disrupting either half (removing The Rack, or simply holding two cards) buys full turns of zero pressure.
Slow clock — outside of Hypnotic Specter the deck wins solely through The Rack's three-per-turn drip, giving opponents many turns to topdeck an answer, stabilize, or race with their own threats before the total is lethal.
Thin creature base — Ravenous Rats and Hypnotic Specter are the only real bodies, so cheap removal or a static effect that shrinks a creature type's power and toughness shuts both off and forces the deck onto The Rack alone, its slowest line.

How to beat it

The entire engine depends on keeping your hand empty, so if you can refill faster than Cabal Therapy, Duress, and Ravenous Rats can strip cards, The Rack stops dealing damage entirely. Lean on card draw that triggers at end of turn or on their turn so the discard lands on an already-refilled hand.
Race The Rack by deploying threats that win before its incremental damage piles up: every turn the deck spends paying mana for Smother, Diabolic Edict, or Snuff Out is a turn The Rack is not closing the game, so present more bodies than their removal can answer one at a time.
Hypnotic Specter is what makes an empty hand catastrophic, so prioritize removal timed before it connects on turn three or four, since each hit compounds the lock. Exile-based removal is ideal because it leaves nothing to recur.
Go wide so the deck's sweeper, Bane Of The Living, must pay a large amount of mana to set its fixed -X/-X high enough to clear the whole board, and a single Diabolic Edict only takes one body. Forcing them to overpay on a single wrath, or to leave creatures alive, buys turns of zero pressure.
The deck has almost no maindeck answer to enchantments or artifacts, so a passive card-advantage engine that replaces discarded cards can simply outrun the discard lock and strand The Rack as a blank; deploy that engine early and protect it.
