Game Plan

GW Madness is a proactive beatdown deck that buys its threats at a discount. The engine is a discard outlet, namely Wild Mongrel, Tireless Tribe, or Patrol Hound, feeding Basking Rootwalla and Arrogant Wurm, whose madness lets them be cast for far less than their printed cost the instant they are pitched. A turn-one Savannah Lions into a turn-two Mongrel, then a turn-three Arrogant Wurm discarded to the Mongrel, puts six power on board by turn three while the Mongrel itself pumps to survive combat. Swords to Plowshares clears the single blocker that matters, used as a tempo play to keep the discard-for-madness chain flowing rather than held purely as a reaction.

Against removal and grind the deck shifts to a resilient long game. Call of the Herd makes recurring 3/3 Elephant tokens across two turns via flashback, Sylvan Library digs for the next threat, and Cursed Scroll picks off blockers or drains the last points once the board stalls. The combat trump is Glory: discarded naturally to an outlet, it is activated from the graveyard to give the whole green team protection from white (or any color), pushing damage through blockers and dodging color-based removal mid-combat. Prismatic Strands offers a second protection layer with flashback. The plan is fast enough to race and resilient enough to grind, but it leans on its outlets and its graveyard: answer those and the discount disappears.
